It has aphrodisiac properties in both sexes. These properties have been identified in several studies. In a study with healthy men who received 1.5 grams of maca daily for 12 weeks. The efficacy of maca on sexual desire was confirmed. Aphrodisia (of perception) was found to increase by 24.4%, 40% and 42.2% in the 4th, 8th and 12th weeks respectively.

Maca (Lepidium meyenii) is a root cultivated in the central Andes of Peru belonging to the Brassica family. It is characterized by its different secondary metabolites. Macaena and macamides are the main metabolites, thus they contain β-sitosterol and campesterol, the most common phytosterols, macaridin, lepilidines and a variety of glucosinolates.

How to use:
